Share the joy of reading

We love books! All manner of them. Our shelves always have an eclectic selection that have been rescued from antique stores or charity shops, for customers to sit a while with. We thought then that the darker nights and cooler weather of Autumn was the perfect time to introduce our 'Book Share'. A lot of you will be farmilar with this kind of thing but for some it will be a new idea. When setting up for Christmas we rescued a wonderful old travel trunk. We have placed it in the studio with a collection of books in. A small but varied selection, with something for most ages. Customers are welcome of course welcome to sit and read any of these during a visit, but now you are also able to take books home. The only rule is that if you take a book away, you first add a book to the chest for others to enjoy.

We will certainly be adding our own from home and we're delighted to see a regular customer getting straight into the swing of book sharing, no sooner than ithe trunk was open!
