Happy birthday Romy!

Friday morning started with an excitable group of young party people, all joining Romy for her 2nd birthday celebrations.
Opting for the Tinies package they each got to have a good old play around with paints, using all sorts of shapes and sizes of brushes, stamps and sensory objects.
Recently we have had some nurseries visiting who opted for seated rather than floor messy play and so we decided to give this a try and it worked well.
We also tried something new with the canvases. We have noticed how difficult it can be for the grown ups to allow the littlies a free reign on their pieces. It's a natural instinct to want to help and make things a little neater! (you know who you are, haha). So, we opted for two smaller canvasses each...one for the little Ines to go crazy with and one for the grown ups to get involved with, attempting some handprints perhaps or similar. It worked really well!

We also discovered a new method of print taking...the 'high five'! (more on this method in an upcoming blog).
They were all super stars, each getting stuck in and discovering their inner artists before snacks and a little play in our tunnels and ball pool.
We had a blast and we hope they did too. Lots of grown ups will be adding some gorgeous new creations to their walls shortly, that's for sure.
These kind of little adventures are the best kind of memory making...the happiest of happy 2nd birthdays to Romy from us all at Saramique Studio.
