On our last adults evening, amongst the bottles of bubbly and the comforting sound of friends having a relaxing catch up and a good old giggle, there were many a pot being painted. Even those who arrive initially and somewhat nervously exclaiming a lack of creativity, soon get into the swing of it and are genuinely surprised at what they are able to produce.
We are always inspired by our customers creations and learn as much from them as they do from us. We never tire of opening the lid of a warm kiln load and letting out the 'ooohs' and 'aahhhs' that are usually reserved for firework displays.
We offer a very personal experience here and where possible, take the time to get to know a little about every painter who pulls up a chair in the studio, and so there is a real warmth of pride when we get to see or hear how delighted they are with the fired results.
Sometimes though, our socks are well and truly blown off...so...back to the adults evening. A lady named Mel painted a plate as a Christmas gift for her daughter. We were all in total awe of what she had created. As a parent I'm very farmilar with Julia Donaldson's 'Stickman' book, as illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Nearly every customer who toured our workshop got super excited by the Stickman plate, waiting in line to be glazed and fired. We were even a little nervous about handling it!! No pressure!

The results speak for themselves...amazing! We hope you like this just as much as we did and we are absolutely certain that one lucky little lady will be thrilled with the wonderful gift her clever mummy has created, just for her.
The word is that Mel will be aiming for The Gruffalo next time around...watch this space...
